Here, among the gentle hills and forests of southern Germany, lives a small but vibrant Turkish community whose roots reach back to the 1960s. Those were the years when the first so‑called guest workers arrived from Turkey, carrying with them hope, strength, and the desire to build a better life. What began as temporary labour soon turned into a long journey — a story of generations who made Germany their home while keeping Anatolia in their hearts. This layered history is more than migration — it is a human story of belonging, identity, and meaning. Within this shared history, the Turkish Cultural Night Bonndorf 2025 invites you to a special evening — a celebration of encounter, movement, and inner balance. Internationally acclaimed dancer Ziya Azazi will perform his signature work “Dervish in Progress”, a contemporary interpretation of the ancient Mevlevi whirling tradition. His performance transforms turning into a language of awareness — a poetic reminder that every rotation is also a return: to oneself, to others, to unity. Music will carry this spirit forward: Popular Turkish artist Ozan Koçer will bring his dynamic pop energy to the stage, while the ARPEJ Band will fill the hall with live rhythms, joy, and the pulse of dance. The evening is organized by the Türkischer Kulturverein Bonndorf e.V., a local cultural association that for years has been building bridges between generations and communities. Through its events, the association preserves traditions, creates spaces of dialogue, and reminds us that diversity can become harmony — especially in places like Bonndorf, where different roots grow into shared ground. All proceeds from the event will support the construction of a small prayer space, fountain, and washing area in Bonndorf — transforming art and culture into a gesture of compassion and solidarity.
